Our occupational therapists assess your abilities and impairments and the physical, cognitive and psychosocial demands of your job to develop a plan for a successful return to work. Your occupational therapist may:

  • Complete a job site assessment
  • Meet with you and your employer to discuss your work duties, any needed modification, and graduated schedules
  • Develop a gradual return to work program, specific to the your needs and as agreed to by the employer, which incorporates recommendations from your medical and rehabilitation team
  • Monitor your progress through worksite visits or meetings

Sometimes return to a pre-accident employment position is not possible. When this occurs, we can work with you and your vocational specialist to explore alternate work, education and/or volunteer opportunities, promoting skill development and engagement in a meaningful and productive pursuit.
